Kim and Sam Wightman, owners of award-winning Kisa’s Restaurants, began their family-run business 25 years ago. They contacted SYMO (shortly after Covid-19 restrictions were announced) for parasol advice for their newest restaurant in Perth, Scotland.

After several weeks of intensive consultation with Anthony Gerard, our UK Parasol Coach, Kim & Sam decided they wanted to be able to function at maximum capacity during the coming autumn and winter season, especially with Covid-19 restrictions likely to continue. So, Kim & Sam went for “the full monty” and ordered five of our MACSYMO parasols, with heating, lighting and connecting gutters, with 200kg tile bases on wheels. Side panels have now also been ordered for the coming windy winter months.

The MACSYMO is a real giant parasol for heavy use, with dimensions up to 5x5m square or 5x4m rectangular. This provides shade or a watertight roof for up to 25 seats, under a single parasol (1 seat per m2) *
