7 solid guarantees
for heavy duty, professional parasols
Professional parasol users have repeatedly told us the same seven specific frustrations when buying a parasol. So we are doing something about it!
The following seven guarantees apply to all orders from 15/03/2025 onwards:
Guarantee 1
Symo Parasols is a manufacturer of professional parasols. You can get these guarantees because you’re buying directly from Symo.
Most other manufacturers work through distributors and pass on the responsibility for the guarantee to those distributors. As a result, with our competitors, you often won’t benefit from a manufacturer’s warranty
Guarantee 2
Symo Parasols guarantees that the colour of your Orchestra parasol cloth will not fade in the sun for 10 years.
If the Orchestra cloth does fade in the sun within 10 years, we will supply a new cloth for FREE and without discussion.
Guarantee 3
Symo Parasols guarantees that even after a storm, you can continue to use your parasol to profitably exploit your terrace. If the wind blows your parasol over within 5 years, we will deliver a new one for FREE. In addition, we will reimburse any consequential damage up to the original purchase value of your parasol
This solid warranty applies to all MacSymo, Robusto and Cape Wood parasols that are firmly anchored into solid ground according to our instructions with a ground sleeve supplied by us. The guarantee is valid for 5 years from the day of installation. All we ask is
- that you close the parasol in stormy winds. The wind strengths at which this is necessary can be found in a separate table.
- that you install the app Windfinder Pro on your smartphone and set it up so that it automatically notifies you when storms are coming near your terrace.
- that you ensure that each parasol is securely fastened in its base according to the instructions.
- that you never leave your parasols open unattended (closing hours, closing days).
- that repairs, maintenance, accessories and spare parts always come from Symo Parasols.
STRONG PARASOLS FOR PROFESSIONALS
Guarantee 4
Symo Parasols guarantees that your parasol base will function correctly for at least 5 years.
This guarantee applies when correctly installed and used according to the manual. It applies to the following items supplied by Symo: base sleeve, tile base 140kg, 200kg, 270kg (guarantee does not apply to tiles), base plate premium or economy.
Guarantee 5
Symo Parasols guarantees the structural integrity of the parasol mast for 15 years.
Valid for Bloom, Frou Frou, Gulliver, Paddo, Quattro, MacSymo, Cape Wood, Robusto, Trevo.
Guarantee 6
Symo Parasols guarantees that original spare parts will remain available for at least 7 years.
Otherwise, Symo will reimburse the original purchase value.
Guarantee 7
Symo Parasols guarantees professional installation and service by the manufacturer or under its responsibility.
This guarantee is valid in Belgium and France.

- Other products or parts enjoy a 1-year warranty. All warranties apply from the original invoice date and to the original purchaser of the goods. Unless otherwise specified, Symo Parasols chooses to replace, repair or reimburse defective goods at the value on the original invoice. Superficial damage such as scratches, tears or holes caused by contact with external objects or moving parts of the frame or the cloth itself are not covered by this warranty.
- The user is at all times responsible for closing the parasol in the event of strong winds above the wind speeds indicated in the wind table. An open parasol must always be under responsible supervision. Whenever the parasol is closed, it must be protected with a correctly fitted, original Symo Parasols protective cover.
- Damage due to hail, snow, fire, theft, vandalism, abuse, tipping over (except as described in paragraph 3), ... is not covered by this warranty.
- The warranty only applies when exclusively using original and approved Symo Parasols parts and accessories (including protective cover, closure tape, lighting, parasol base, ballast, gutters, sidewalls, etc.). The parasol must be correctly installed according to the manual and on a solid, horizontal and flat surface. The user must carry out the cleaning and maintenance instructions correctly and regularly.
- The buyer must report any transport damage on the delivery documents, at the time of delivery.
- Repairs or replacements as a result of these warranties do not extend the original warranty period. The warranty covers material and labour costs only, unless specified where otherwise. The value of the warranty is reduced in proportion to the remaining warranty period, except where otherwise described. Symo has the right to reject derivative warranties, damages, services or transportation costs.
- The application for warranty shall be accompanied by an original and dated invoice and a clear, written description of the damage and the cause of the damage.
